I want to go to Moro
Need more information.
5 bowls of tapas stuff including fish, squid & prawns, hummous, minted yoghurt, falafel, spiced potatoes, olives and Lebanese bread. Also had an awesome mojito like soft drink (Apple, ginger and mint lemonade) and a few beers. Came to £30.
Got VERY busy though, and it's tiny / very informal. They turned away about 30 people in the time we were there, so booking is essential.
But it really deserves success and lots of custom. My local pub costs me £14 just for a burger, chips and pint now, so in comparison this place is a gem.
If you like Lebanese food, that is...
Fair amount of offal, but in general it's just really really good food
ThaiThai in the uncool half of Old Street?
http://bodeansbbq.com - awesome meat action
http://mannav.com - amazing vegginess
http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/eatanddrink/restaurant.htm - tiny bit pricey but catch it at sunset and it's perfect place to be as you can see across all of london
http://frontlineclub.com/restaurant/ - one of my favourites, again not really cheap but food is amazing
http://www.gauchorestaurants.co.uk/restaurants/restaurant.php?id=piccadilly - once got treated to a steak here and it was out of this world (have a feeling it was quite expensive)
http://www.thedinersoho.com/ - pretty obvious but the cocktails alone are sublime
the place where me and tom usually have meetings, Plan 9 in Maida Vale, which is run by two american ladies, is pretty much amazing.
the breakfast in the place near the Serpentine is meant to be great too.
whole foods upstairs cafe stuff is delicious too.
Ridiculously expensive for what you get.
"warning - beans contain meat"
Anyone recommend a Fish, Thai or Japanese restaurant that is good for going to a nice meal too? maybe something in a cool location?
..and when I say 'cool' location, I just mean somewhere interesting or a bit different or something.
and said it was really cool:
