on a plus note, the vampire look is back.
"We're here to sell booze, not drugs!"
someone will overdose .... irresponsible druk dealing should be regarded as something altogether more heineous, than yer run of the mill druk dealing.
I never understood why the barman that fills up a pint glass from the top shelf and the victim dies, isnt regarded as someone who has deliberately assisted in the giving of a large overdose.
Priorities are wrong in the legal aspects of intoxicants.
I work in a club on weekends and its hard work telling someone you cant serve them any more. Its easier just to serve them and let them be someone else's problem
some people can hide the fact that they're absolutely rat-faced pretty well
i would find it very hard to blame myself if somebody got so pissed that they died and i had served them, its a big weight to place on someone who is just doing their job's shoulders
cos they cant keep track.
However the licensee does know that the offer is irresponsible (surely at the least they should have their license revoked/not renewed)
What i actually referred to was examples where barmen give glasses full to the brim of undiluted spirits to people that are obviously being got legless by their mates (for birthdays etc)
I was actually giving an example of an actuial incident in the midlands (pint glass filled with the top shelf(optics))
too expensive at my place for that. all you can drink does seem like a recipe for disaster
why why why? link this if this is not the case?
Although, if that £15 all you can drink anything you can drink all night long offer would probably result in a death sooner or later
Which may or may not have been directly caused by alcohol.
and had one too red bulls (maybe with alcohol, who's to say), that could very well of caused it. It's more probable he just drink himself into oblivion though. Freshers Week and all you can drink is just fucking asking for trouble though isn't it?
that the children didnt sip the amber liquid! I HAD A DREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAM
"Surely the message given out to students should be that drinking alcohol is not desirable or healthy, though socially acceptable in moderation."
Snappy name for a clubnight.
I mean, while I'm sure Borders will be disappointed they lost a future full-time employee, I think the rest of us can sleep easier at night knowing there's one less piss artist in the world, surely?
Fact: If this had of been a kid from a council estate it wouldn't have merited more than a few lines, at most.
all over the tabloids as another shining example of 'broken Britain'
to get in the tabloids as another example of broken Britain.
surely the two stories are unrelated? i saw loads of stuff in the papers yesterday slating this all you can drink night so it probably would have been called off anyway regardless of the death.
it's pretty sad though, 19 years old :(
I think there is one known as sudden death syndrome, read once it can be triggered by drinking red bull, havent drunk red bull since
natural selection innit.
although it is sad.
will that kill you?
well played sir
