What's he been eating?
If we win this, oh my.
Shah out for 98 on a Nelson.
Guardian OBO says "ah, balls". That sums it up aptly.
We only hit two sixes in the entire series against Australia, now we've hit eight (and counting) in one game. Crazy.
BUT shows we're not as dreadful as some people think. Maybe some kind of game plan has emerged?
There was actually a pretty decent batting performance at the first ODI at Trent Bridge, with everyone contributing. From there it's just improved. It does help that a few players are finding a bit of form now.
Actually, I'm forgetting how useless we were in the second Trent Bridge ODI. idk
and the Ashes hangover has worn off - maybe the idea of playing for a place on the winter tour has motivated them a bit more too. Practising running between the wicketrs can't have hurt either, would have been a bit different against the Aussies had we not lost so many run-outs
Also, from Cricinfo OBO: 'Update: Steve Davies, the Worcestershire wicketkeeper, is set to fly to South Africa as cover for Matt Prior tonight.'
we *might* win..
RRR over 7 now, though.
I bet Smith is pissed off.
Smith wicket leading a charmed life.
...he needs to go.
this is TOO MUCH
I wish I did. I'm currently jumping up and down to Cricinfo's ball-by-ball coverage, much to the bemusement of my girlfriend.
Made even better by the result. Is anyone else enjoying this Champions Trophy as much as me? Even without considering the pleasantly surprising England performances, it's been a really good competition. The Sri Lankan performance in the firt game was class, the underdog West Indian performance in the Aus vs. WI game was great, Pakistan vs. India is always entertaining, and New Zealand beating Sri Lanka. Brilliant 100s from Dilshan, Shoaib Malik, and Smith today, plus that Shah 98 and a good 78 from Ponting. I've really enjoyed it so far.
