A lot of photos but pretty cool.
But i am off to Normandy on saturday for a week with the family for my dad's 60th, canny wait.
Calvados, cheese, beautiful countryside. I went on a French Exchange there when I was 14 or 15 and had the most magical time, staying in a little cottage in the countryside that had all been converted inside with wood metal and glass but was still totally rustic, visiting Mont St Michel, wandering through this beautiful frosty countryside which was sort of like England but not at all, wandering on these windswept beaches. Utterly uttlerly incredible.
I'd also strong recommend the Camenbert museum in Vimoutiers.
Really looking forward to it, been to france a few times but always the south. I think we are heading into Paris for a day as well which should be cool as I have never been there either. My dad is fascinated with all the d-day landing stuff so that's what kind of tipped normandy in our favour. Lots of cheese and good wine - nice :)
the camenbert there is utterly amazing and you'll find it tastes different in each town, from insanely strong to almost like butter. Pont L'Eveque is obvz awesome too.
And the D-Day stuff is very very interesting indeed. There's also some epic chateaux and Rouen is LOVERLY and you should also visit Monet's house and garden if you can. I wanna visit again :(
actual tru fax.
Cheers for the tips RockNRoll.
Will be nice to meet some pleasant French folk for a change :)
Theo I don't think that's in very good taste
And there's a link on their main menu to 'girls'. :-/
considering how long it seems to take anything to get done now.
