Massively lets down the American The Office.
Every other character is relatively believable, in the same vein as the British one. But Dwight... he's like something off The Simpsons. Ruins the show.
I've met people exactly like him. And though I've only ever seen a couple of episodes, most people I've talked to about the show agree that he's the best thing about it.
Conclusion: You must GTFO.
The other characters behave like real people. I hate him.
But he completely reminds me of a guy who was in my class up till last year.
"Where is the clitoris? What does a vagina look like?"
That bit in particular made me wince, you'd expect something as obvious and hackneyed as that in a 12 rated version of American Pie, wtf. Then there was the stupid photo of him and his dad (I think?) on his ranch, didn't even seem to fit with his character whatsoever, again, like something off The Simpsons.
but because he was real he was more creepy and annoying
How can you say that michael is realistic (although he contains elements of realism)
it's still hilarious. Plus, what's wrong with the Simpsons?
he is brilliant, one of the best characters.
i very nearly burst out laughing
The American Office is brilliant! The embarrassing moments make me cringe more than the British one, who'd've thought it? It's also a lot more engrossing and comforting than the British one innit.
cats got depth.
much more depth than gareth i should say.
that was almost like a turning point for his character. maybe
i dunno. you're making me justify him when he needs no justification..i can't see your argument at all. just watch it when he pays the new receptionist to say she's won an art contest and tell me he lets it down.
that's completely true.
there are many sides to dwight. many sides indeed.
he licks davids arse but is ready to take his place, so he's subserviant but a little cuthtroat.
he is socially incompetant
he is easilly wound up.
that's about it. his relationships with the characters around him never change.
in terms of depth to his personality, he's probably the most 3D character.
not in realism exactly, but layers to his personality definitly.
you just never know with dwight.
and he went nice for a little bit and made jokes with Pam. Oh and when he made that Mussolini speech in the conference and everyone cheered.
