Road House was an awesome film.
i knew this was going to happen at some point this year so it's not really a shock. still sad though.
the last reserve of the desperate and unwashed.
just....i hate the inevitable gags that will flow in txt and e-mail......'hey have you seen!!!....hahaha...yeah...bill in accounts sent me that...amaaaaaazing'
Yep, haven't had a shower in years...
and a big d'oh to the top and fourth most-read stories on the beeb website at this very moment.
Roadhouse was an awesome film and Dalton delivered some fucking great lines and kicked ass.
But both of those are frankly wonderful.....
but he did star in Red Dawn, and thats pretty unforgivable.
I really don't get the love for these films.
but that doesn't stop me being somewhat baffled by their popularity.
Dirty Dancing is just a really tediously boring film. Ghost wasn't nearly as bad but it's aged really badly and suffers badly without the hype that it had at the time. Neither film deserves any kind of status.
The ending does of course kind of turn the sentimentality dial to about 11 but it's a pretty good film and surprisingly funny in places
I'm not a great fan of Dirty Dancing, it's not bad but Strictly Ballroom is miles better.
He was great in Donnie Darko.
I think he's a good actor who turned in a good performance but with the exception of Drew Barrymore's lacklustre work I think the whole film was full of really good performances.
He's the best thing about Donnie Darko!
When one of the other actors in Donnie Darko dies I'll remember to credit their performance in it.
People often go on about his performance in that film but it never seems remarkable to me, that's all.
I don't really understand how anyone could NOT like Dirty Dancing, unless they're just sticking it in the chick flick box and not giving it the time it deserves. Great film.
when I was younger.
I was more of a Footloose man.
It's a pretty tired sort of plot that isn't done with any of the life you need when you use a old, worn plot idea. I didn't mind Ghost when I came out but it's not really an older, cynical person's film.
Road House was an incredible film. However, Swayze's greatest moment comes right at the beginning of this scene:
That's great writing there.
