not the BBC obviously.
Going to be a bit weird, I think, but not a massively bad thing...
But it is an excuse to post this: http://www.theonion.com/content/node/30895
What are they, if not product placement?
Shit TV will just get even shitter now.
Newspapers (all of 'em, but tabloids more than others) have been doing it for ages now by regurgitating company press releases under the pretence of reporting news stories (ASDA £10 suit, Wetherspoon £1 ale, etc).
ITV is utter shit and only has itself to blame because it is content to peddle tosh. This measure will only delay the inevitable.
The gap between folks who respect creativity with honesty & integrity and folks who simply chase after the race to the bottom will widen further still.
Over to you Bill: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDW_Hj2K0wo (a bit fundamental, but the sentiment is there).
feel like a product placement gone wrong for Lucozade?
I felt a bit sorry for them, what with all the papers referring to the terrorists as 'THE LUCOZADE BOMBERS!'
you could make a game out of it
and just make it really obvious at times.
Tobias and Carl Weathers are in Burger King, Carl keeps going on about free refills and Tobias says "it's a wonderful restaurant", Ron Howard narrating says "It sure is!". This is clearly the future.
I thought of that too. I guess if you're going to do it go the whole hog.
loads of product placement in that (or they are trying to make it hyper realistic) especially of alcohol brands.
