Obviously this is in the news at the moment and there appears to be a few conflicting stories but there are some reports that Stephen Farrell, who had previously been kidnapped in Iraq, ignored warnings from locals not to enter an area that was heavy with taliban fighters. His refusal to do so resulted in the deaths of several men including his translator and a soldier who was part of the special forces sent in to rescue him.

If all true his actions are extremely selfish and journos of his ilk are very irresponsible and maybe in future they'll be left to get themselves out of any trouble.
