Not really sure what's been going on in the last day or so, but here goes anyway.
England Ladies get dicked on in the final of the European Championships, losing 6-2 to Germany who have not won the last five tournaments. Good effort by our lot really and although I was too busy to watch, apparently the game was pretty good.
Cappello says all the right things (as usual) in light of qualification for the World Cup. At least the manager's not taking anything for granted, even if the press end up doing so.
Wenger complains that Arshavin played midweek and has returned injured, while he also discuses the transfer of young players at length. In short, he's in favour, but open to discussions over compensation. Alex Ferguson also appears to be in favour.
George Burley is to meet SFA bosses next week to discuss his future. He's keen to stay, but the SFA are unwilling to talk publicly until they've met him. Poland have already sacked their coach in the wake of this qualifying campaign.
Danny Webber signs a two year deal at Fratton Park as Porstmouth continue to build their squad for the Championship next season. Cedric van der Gun also moves on a free transfer, signing for Ajax for 12 months with an option for another season.
