Do you know why a sirloin steak is thus named?
It is often thought that James I had such a fantastic steak dinner one night in Chorley that he drunkenly knighted the piece of meat. Unfortunately it's more likely to come from the old french word 'surlonge' which means above the loin.
That's a bit boring though. I prefer drunken meat knighting.
