The stage show.
Not really sure how it'll work on stage.
The bloke from the wire's in it - Carcetti's campaign manager
if that's the case, then the rape scene will be one to remember
and it's amazing!!
but I walked by Cardiff's New Theatre the other day, and they had a poster up advertising the stage version of Rain Man - with Neil cocking Morissey in the Dustin Hoffman role.
The first thing I thought when I saw the poster was: “I wonder how they’ll do the scene where he crawls through a mile-long tunnel of shit.”
The answer was yes both in
I did see it. Excellent news. Ros is booking as we speak.
And just wondered how the fuck they could do that without everyone laughing.
It being critically acclaimed and at the National but sounding utterly undo-able. I've since seen shots of the horse and it makes more sense.
The only plays I like to see are 'The Woman in Black' since it's supposed to be scary as shit and 'Arcadia' because my granny took me to see it when it opened and it was amazing.
I'd probably KILL to see The Mystery of Irma Vep again.

The stage was a big cage, although it struggled a bit with the changes of scenery
The guy from the Wire kept sounding like he was about cry.
They didn't attempt the crawling bit, which was nice
The warden kept flubbing his lines
The rape bit was a bit, poorly executed
The idiot brother from 2 Pints of Lager was in it
On the whole it was really well paced - a whole hour shorter than the film, and really well acted. The narration as Red giving sollioquays was especially good. I'd recommend it
