I'm so tempted but the only people I know up there I'm almost certain would not be up for it...
but on a similar line is anyone going to sunset rubdown in glasgow next thurs? i think i'm going it alone.
though I haven't got a ticket yet.
Sleeping States tonight?
No, I can't, I'm out for a friend's birthday tonight...
but I aint back for another fortnight :(
Free party at the Sub Club afterwards with your ticket stub; Untold and the Numbers chaps playing there. £12 for 6+ hours of boogie over two venues, which ain't bad at all.
Saw the Moderat show at Pukkelpop a couple of weeks back and can highly recommend making the trip. Check out some videos on youtube if you need convincing.
Come say hello, I'll be the tall bloke with a beard and pint of cider. That might not narrow it down much in there though.
I don't know if I want to go to this kind of thing on my own
Modeselektor are my favourite band in the whole wide world and they were insanely good in the Arches earlier this year but I can't afford a ticket (they're only like £15!), I HATE money. :(
If someone buys me a ticket for this I would literally be their best friend forever.
and I have to pay to get up there too. Hmm, I just can't decide that to do!
im going ot newcastle instead with friends.
I didn't know they were playing, I'm helping my girlfriend move flat and if we do go out then it'll probably be to see a friend playing in Tchai Ovna that night.
In thread-hijack news, any of you Glasgow peeps want to buy my Okkervil River tickets for next Wednesday at Oran Mor? I have 2. I will discount.
sorry ma man meant to get back to you before, my friend who i mentioned might be interested is in fact not as he is going to the scotland game that night.
It's very annoying, I know various people who would normally want to go but are away somewhere else on that day.. I guess it's my own fault for mistakenly thinking that I'd be all sorted for moving by now!
I finally get to see my future home on Friday though :D woot
Need a compromise as my girlfriend's new job is in Dundee, and I'm likely to get something in Glasgow / Edinburgh, so it needs to be commutable both ways. Not ideal, but seems alright, we know a few people in the area, flat looks nice, and we have a few workarounds for getting home if we go out in Glasgow... :)
Last one up wallace monument buys the beers :)
Living room has big windows that look out onto the town, main bedroom onto the Wallace Monument, and second bedroom onto the back of the castle. Yay. I've been researching where I can go on bike rides, after spending my weekend doing long cycles punctuated by little wanders around nature reserves.
I'M A PRETTY COOL GUY
we might be drinking with the parents...
I give you discount! GOOD PRICE! GOOD PRICE FOR YOU!
two gigs might be too much. ill get back to by lunchtime...
Their set at Sonar was incredible.
