someone actually wants to pay for my art. How much should I charge?!??!?!
Although bear in mind that whatever it looks like, I'm going to say "a fiver".
I do think though, that if it's just one person who's said they want to buy it, then it largely depends on what they're willing to pay. You can then decide whether that's acceptable or not. If the drawings are up for public sale then that's slightly different.
how much were the materials?
you could ask them how much they want to pay
or you good give them material cost plus what might help you continue as an artist, or you could discuss your next projects and maybe that will help.
Apparently 'rule number 1' means that we need to see a pic of that which is being discussed (I learnt that yesterday in a thread on here
and asking what they'd pay would probably be £0
a hundred for the lot. Sorry if that seems too low, but i like the first one, perhaps you should flog the stufff this person wants and then discuss with them if there is a composition that they would particularly want.
If i had dosh I'd definately ask you for some composition.
I've literally no idea where to start. I've just sent them a message saying there;d be an initial cost and then probably a cut of whatever follows depending on how much theyre charging etc.
Think of the maximum amount you would feel morally satisfied with charging. Then triple it.
You're an Artist now.
turns out it's someone setting up teeshirt printing and they want to use a number of my designs. Hmmm this means I should be preferably asking for a cut and or initial payment?
Actually it's not that unusual for you to demand both a lump sum and points on the package.
pretend it belongs to me and work from there.
inquire within please.
what are you? a pimp?
