I wrote this whilst lifeguarding (critic-centric)
Basically i felt inspired so over a 15 minute period i wrote this on the back of a receipt. It wasn't planned, it was a stream of consciousness thing and it spiralled into this. Now you're all probably going to hate it, but at least tell me what you think. Also i've never written anything like this before, i usually do structured rhyming poetry.
The contemplative mind cannot resist, but to turn away. Abolished rules, actions and thoughts of the common man that were once apparent will soon die old. The obsequious words of the growing man will quake the resting soul. To hope for a cleaner future, free of crudeness and arrogance could soon be a reality. Can the absence of such vices really rest ones arrogance? The virtuous mean can only truly exist without knowing it. To a man who seeks the divine soul will only find that he seeks redemption. Man fails to administer certain human actions, yet cannot believe the wickedness of his existence. To live, create and die, to follow such pathetic pleasures! Is this truly right? To create the perfect being and to watch it die. Is this truly fair? The curse of life that shadows us all will soon become. To the common and educated mind the worth of life is still ambiguous. Should we live to perfect the human name or should we never live at all? To live should be to nourish love and create. Perfection is never possible so why believe in it? You should be born to live, to nourish and to feed the cells of the true design. One organism, one power. It truly is divine Think not of one’s own kind, but only love and respect. In deficiency of this only seek forgiveness and then continue to devote and LIVE!
