i've always been afraid that going in there will be like walking into 2003 with everyone in trilbys and red military jackets pretending to be in the libertines.
but i agree with the rest.
Wen went late on a friday afternoon and were greeted by this dive bar with some smug little shit working the bar.....suffice to say I wasn't impressed.
Went there the night after for a free gig, and the place was transformed. the lounge looked amazing with fairy lights and stuff hanging round, great atmosphere, and the bar area was much improved too.
Proper mixed bag then
like the Lexington should frankly die.
But I agree with your statement nonetheless.
Like a Scream pub or something
I thought you meant like a local's card or a membership card, rather than a discount card, but yeah, caught up with you now.
I actually went to a nice Scream pub in Edinburgh! The others I've been to are a bit rubbish though, agreed.
the card's free and makes your drinks and food a bit cheaper. what's wrong with that?
the place is nice, the seats are comfy, the jukebox is good, the toilets are decent, the guided missile quiz is always fun, and i've seen plenty of decent gigs there. twilight sad there the other week was immense. and if you like whisky, they have lots. i don't, but that's by the by.
don't really know what's not to like about the place actually.
or maybe lexington...but only one of those places unless anyone convinces me otherwise
I never went in when I lived next door...I didn't go to lexington that much actually until I moved away
