How were your weekends?
Mine: a mixture of TMS, sunshine, chips, and a trip to the bank manager. 7/10.
was good! sunshine and icecream, rubbish chores, pu quiz last night which was apparently not the brightest of ideas as I feel hella crap post-pints and lacking in sleep. Did a bit of draing though:not bad! 8.17/10
Don't forget the delightful Rushden cafe!
had some friends over, went to a par-tay. ended up falling asleep at like 12 am at said par-tay. in a green sleeping bag. on the floor. in the middle of everyone dancing and talking.
apparently i snored too.
and the emphasis on that second syllable-
where does that come from?
is it The Mask? Or am i wrong?
had stuff planned friday, saturday, sunday. everything was cancelled. RAGE. so i sat around and played computer games, could've been worse. also, england won the ashes and wednesday won 4-0, so yeah, mustn't grumble
it was alright: birthday drinks for a friend in london on friday but i think i got too drunk and was a bit too hyper about things. saturday saw my parents visit in reading and then we went for a long walk yesterday. so, 6.5/10. my boyfriend went to berlin this morning and i am joining him on saturday!
Played some Gears and Half Life 2 and helped parents in the garden. Watched first 2 episodes of Angel and was amazed I'd forgotten so much about it. Also Borearnezezezez obviously had acting classes between this and Buffy.
Out For Justice/10
i kept nearly getting hit by cars, bamnan style, but it was pretty decent
A great, great weekend.
Why did everyone take their shoes off?
I had a great weekend despite having to work on Saturday and Sunday.
A lot of my weekend seemed to feature Bamos...
Friday - pub
Saturday - monstrous hangover, followed by a wedding reception which I thoroughly enjoyed. My favourite moment of that was witnessing Richard Browne of his chair and onto the dancefloor quicker than Usain Bolt on hearing the first drumbeat of Dancing In The Dark.
Sunday - went to girlfriend's family do, spent much of my time giving Ashes updates to her elderly relatives and drinking champagne.
Top, top weekend.
festival without the music. bloody brilliant. too much gin.
rounded the weekend off staying up late talking to a friend. was good.
talking about music and films whilst drinking copius amounts of tequila and beer. Incidentally the beer was tsingtao in cans and it had the old school ring pulls :D
Sat - Hung out with the gf and ate some nice food, then sat in and got stoned with a friend and watched no direction home and motd.
Sun - Was at a christening and then onto a free bar all afternoon and looked after a friends big dog last night called henry :)
friday - drank beer with a friend and won the world cup on italy '90 for the megadrive.
saturday - went to a party in a cottage. played board games and got very drunk.
sunday - spent the evening drinking wine and cider with lauren.
Di duh duh!...
Things that suck/rock about that game:
You use a pointer arrow to find countries that qualified for Italia 90. No good if your Geography is crap.
The ball makes a *FLUuFLOink* noise when you kick it.
Corners and free kicks are a kind of weird, glitchy stock animation where you can't work out what's going on.
Every goal is accompanied by the same player, in the same position, (with slightly different colouring) raising his arm while an ape looks on and the commentator goes GRRRUUARROLL.
Friday night - sat in with my flatmates, had a few beers and watched 'In the Loop' and 'The Running Man' on the projector. Also played Wii Sports Resort.
Saturday - I cleaned my bike in the sunshine, while listening to the cricket on the radio and sipping on a gin and tonic. Oh yes! I was supposed to go out that night, but my friend was meeting other people at a horrible bar, so I pulled out. I don't think he's talking to me now.
Sunday - went for a bike ride down to the National Watersports Centre, but my planned route was closed off due to a triathlon. I ended up going down some little country roads, around a wee village, and then parked my bike so that I could have a walk around the Skylark nature reserve. I saw a heron, dragonflies, pheasants, loads of butterflies, etc. I almost got my book out to have a read, but I'm working my way through 'Crime and Punishment' just now, and I thought that might have pushed my smugness levels through the roof. When I got back, I was invited to a friend's barbecue - went and ate lots of food and had some beers, and chatted with people about things like dvd box sets. Some of the other people had their children with them. The guys next door had to leave early because they were rehearsing a play. BRILLIANT.
It has been said before, I am the stuff that dreams are made of.
