It's the most unfunny comedy I've ever seen, bar none.
down to a tee. Despite that I still couldn't believe how unfunny it was. I've heard my mates quote some of the bits that I just saw as well, didn't even so much as smirk when I saw them in the film.
Like sheep's wool?
The rest of it was rubbish.
Where did you get your clothes, the toilet store?
Milk was a bad choice.
but I must say, this is the first time I've seen it whilst sober and alone, and it's not quite as good as it is when you have a bunch of shrieking pissheads all laughing at the not-very-funny smut.
It's just a series of one-liners which don't add up to a coherent whole (like all of his films, it's actually terrible deep down)... with a few people (with/without drinks), it's absolutely great fun but on your own you have to concentrate on the non-plot and the jokes which aren't actually that funny. Some sort of group magic happens with that film.
come see how good I look.
I like when threads like these show up, because the majority of the replies are just quotes out the films. It's great.
is reserved for The Naked Gun trilogy.
60% of the time it works every time
I do have a nickname for my penis.
I laughed once the first time I saw it, when Jack Black kicked the dog off the bridge, and animal violence is never not funny. The second time though, yeah, I enjoyed it quite a lot.
but after that it is good. Cept the I Love Lamp man. I don't get that stuff. I don't dare watch the film they made out of the off-cuts (offcuts?). Is going to be less good.
then its just hallarious over n over again, however it took till the 3rd viewing to really enjoy it, the same way with napolleon dynamite
there were horses, and a man on fire, and i killed a guy with a trident
tend to involve steve carrol and even then it's all HAHAHAH i'm laughing at a man with a mental age of about six i'm going to hell.
speaking of: i watched Old School the other week when it was on TV. it was also shit.
although there was far too much Vince Vaughn doing his HILOOKITSMEVINCEVAUGHNPLAYINGHTHESAMEMOTORMOUTHCHARACTERHERESSOMERANDOMSWEARINGANDLOOKIMPOINTINGANDBEINGHILARIOUS
Will Ferrell saved it from being rubbish when he got shot in the neck with the tranquiliser dart.
all i can remember from watching it was that john locke was in it and he had both a pornstar moustache and kim bauer for a daughter.
oh, and kim bauer wears pink pants.
If you can't find some joy in the all-in network anchor fight you need your heart replaced with a motherboard.
'PBS! No commercials....no mercy'
I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't grin at least a bit at the fight scene.
Sex Panther, London Gentleman et al
but I could understand people not liking those bits.
I didn't enjoy the film much at all, but the big fight and Jack Black's booting of Baxter were highlights!
I'll take you to foggy London town etc.
here are some crap Will Ferrell movies:
Blades of Glory
Starsky & Hutch
but it looks like it could be the worst film he's ever done
it looks AWFUL
Elf is the only really good one(apart from the end).
obviously if you've heard 3/4 of the film quoted by everyone around you, the actual film isn't exactly going to surprise you, you'll just be playing i-spy catchphrase and all impact will be lost. hell, if i'd seen it now after all that i doubt that i'd enjoy it either. you left it too late, now you can never enjoy a very funny film. sorry.
Well, not in my case anyway.
I just think Will Ferral's character comedy is shit.
The second time, a couple of chuckles
The third time, I watched it hungover with my brother. I hurt with laughter
That's bush league!
Was denied a bank loan.
We're right here, Ron.
Do me on it!
