I’ve always wondered about this, just out of curiosity. I doubt I’ll ever wear a white suit, but it’s nice to know should a situation arise where I have to wear one.

White shoes look horrendously tacky and you’d look like a colossal tool coupling them with a white suit; black shoes would look completely ridiculous. I’m thinking brown shoes are the best to go by, because I had a figure of Benedict, the villain from Last Action Hero, who wore a white suit and brown brogues.

Also, villains aside, who wears a white suit? A white dinner jacket is alright, but a full suit looks quite bad, I think. You could probably get away with an off-white suit coupled with a boater for a good old Edwardian day out on a river boat, but that’s it.
