(Mainly the Factory records / Acid House era)
i misunderstood the question
Manchester, England by Dave Haslam might be a good starting point.
It's a very ambitious book, and not just about music but about the whole city and the people and the history, but mainly focusing on the music. 80s/90s music featured, with quite a bit on Factory. Can't remember if there's much on acid house, but I'm sure there is a bit.
Anyone else know of a book dedicated to the Acid House explosion?
