Has anyone here ever spent Christmas in a large town or city in Australia? Somewhere like Sydney or Melbourne or whatever?

What i want to know is; do they do large scale Christmas street decorations like we do here? Have you ever seen anything that rivalled say Oxford Street or Regent Street or the scheme in Manchester and the like?

Any info appreciated.
