I love how local news always has to get validation and approval for their shit towns' existence, no matter who it's from.
"I must have been pissed when I agreed to go to Swansea"
my Welsh friend warned her brother never to go out in Swansea on a Friday or Saturday night because the loacals will hear his English accent and he'll probably get beaten up. Is it really that bad?
a large university, I doubt it very much.
which would be the same in anywhere really.
I don't think there's anywhere in the UK where you'll probably be beaten up just for being from a different part of the uk.
yeah, I don't know. There are some pubs I wouldn't dare walk into though.
of this when I ask for directions to the PIRA christmas party.
everyone loves the geordie accent.
Stop thinking every corner of Wales is full of nationalistic thugs, you numpty.
this isn't my opinion and it's actually coming from a Welsh person.
I didn't really understand the bit where your Welsh friend has a brother with an English accent.
(not the man from the Shamen)
they were both born in Wales and now live in England, the brother was too young to have picked up any kind of permanent Welsh accent.
west walian accent : )
They were certainly in the minority while I was there.....
and although Fri & Sat had a higher local to student ratio than the rest of the week there wasn't any fear of being beaten up because I'm English.
sensible answer, don't know what my friend is on about then, thanks.
I'm so proud.
who would name there child after a pub from Eastenders !
And always some unoriginal twat makes a comment about sheep.
sorry, it's my automatic response to things about Wales because of the fact I like to wind up my Welsh friend with them. No need to be like that, it's only a joke.
So i get defensive.
To be fair, I only fucked a sheep once. On the edge of the cliff, and it was good because she pushed backwards.
bu-bum-tosh ( drum effects)
If you have been to Wales then you would find it very noticable that the majority of Welsh people are friendly and warm.
I know that's generalising, but it really is noticable when you havew lived away for seven years and go back.
just tons of students instead, but I'm sure you're right :)
