however in buses the seatbelt is completely absent and no one seems to bat an eye lid?
That is a mystery. You're not required to wear them on coaches either though.
While we're at it, what possible use could a seatbelt on a plane be?
They should attach giant parachutes to planes, that can deploy if its crashing. Although they might need to be a size of cuba to work.
this is genius
National Express drivers are aleways giving it "Belt up, it's the law".
are to stop you breaking your neck on the ceiling should the plane hit a substantial air pocket and plummet a few thousand feet.
And what about trains? they fucking hoof it. Surely it would be good to have seatbelts then?
and tramps piss.
so instead of just being thrown from the chair and bouncing around the train, you would either
a) be trapped in the seat while the chairs concertina into an accordion with you inside, or
b) fly through the air with a heavy seat attached to your back, crushing you violently against whatever you landed on
I think they have them in planes because of turbulence, because in a plane crash they're about the same amount of use!
but technically you're life is not worth insuring"
