Its pretty horrific stuff.
making a film about Charles Manson and not really addressing the murder of Sharon Tate specifically is a little shocking.
I see your point but i think they wanted to feature more on Linda Kasabian and delve a little deeper.
but it was important to show the gravity of what actually happened, and that aspect was particularly gruesome whether she was famous or not.
I get that they were trying to represent her experience of the killings but it was a little too sensitive to her and combined with overly snazzy colouring and style it somehow didn't work. A mix between a tame version of the story shown through the eyes of someone who obviously has immense remorse, but fundamentally was part of a horrific crime, and MTV/Fight Club style seemed to miss the crux of the Manson story.
He looked scary at 14
it's the stuff with Dennis Wilson that is particularly bizarre. He really should have learnt not to pick up hitchhikers
See also Fred and Rose West as some of their victims were hitchhikers. I think thats why people never thumb a lift anymore. Do they?
