I'm pretty sure people haven't shown their rooms on here for a while. Pix pls.
mmmmmm, and the most comfortable chair I have ever sat in.
It's ok, I don't think she'll suspect a thing, and there won't be any evidence to show that we did it.
it's pissing down out there. can you do the smash and I'll grab from you? I'll give you some of this shit M&S brandy as a thank-you.
Books, anime, manga, dolls house:
Video games, desk, posters, some DVDs:
Bed, map, TV stuff:
Books, records, alcohol:
Side of DVD stand:
View of my garden:
I have all my anime / manga / video games at this house now though, so my collection is near double. I'll post some photos when my room is a bit tidier :-\
It's so much better now. And by better, I mean lame. But awesome <3
I like that you could get pissed at a moments notice however. Good forward planning.
The other side is better though, it has Hogwarts and Harry's Patronus and is so beautiful. My room is great.
Except I didn't at all. <3
that's one cool room. Nice work.
It's spent the last few years a bit hidden though.
No! I'm very picky about it all. It's not quite done to a proper era, but it's at least vaguely appropriate. Some of it is in need of major repair though (well, all of it).
I don't know if I've ever told you that.
I like it
It has lots of cool stuff. One recommendation though, the bed needs a nice headboard...
maybe I'll get a bed after a sofa.
But then I don't really want the bed to be obtrusive as it's a studio room, so maybe not.
leather's split on both of them on one side though. duct tape's hiding it.
my beanbag sofa's has been ruined by people sleeping on it!!!
probs going to take me another month to order them though 'cos i'm a fussy bint and have been looking for ages (so, two months?).
THEY ARE BASTARD HEAVY.
but no one was willing to help me take one home...
apart from that Argos is my only affordable option..and I got this stupid beanbag sofa :(
the little chairs are heavy or the sofa in general?
and they're not exactly 'small'. Someone more rotund than me would fit easily in them:
where do you live? I MAY be able to talk one of the local friendly builders into dropping them off to you for a pint and a wink.
off hoxton market/pitfield street
I'll oil up for the builder
see the bat on the table? it's a fly killing bat. remember the caps you used to get on strips as a kid that'd go pop bang? well it makes that noise when you catch one. it's fucking awesome.
sometimes they don't die too, so you keep squeezing the buttons and they go fizz pop bang AND they make sparks!
when you said bat i was searching the photo for the flying kind
how fucking dare you!
actually you can a bit if you still let me have the chairs
you have a deal Sir
sean's/toms database fuckups notwithstanding..this thread is an official document of our agreement!
I don't forget promises dude. I might be a bit slow in getting around to them, but I never forget.
jealous, that computer chair looks a little uncomfortable though although I'm guessing it must be amazing for posture.
it's a habitat dining room chair; I looked for a computer chair for a good six weeks and gave up after getting the hump with searching. I had to plead for twenty minutes to let them let me take it away! It's pretty comfy as long as you sit up straight and pull it under the desk. Bit too low though, hence the cushions. And leather, so easy to clean. And yes, it makes you sit up straight.
want to see that?
you can make your own
and if you download that you can take a 3D animated walk around too
real life pic pls!
please can I come sit in it and drink gin, I love it.
if you're ever in Stockholm just give me a call
the lamp made me do a :)
I just came in my pants
but exercise a little self-control if possible
I'll become a eunuch for that pad
i want sparkly lights in my room!
that pic was taken in December
I have my video camera down there and never use it - I should record some sessions and youtube 'em I s'pose
I want these:
mainly because they're shiny though
I have a second, unpainted one as well somewhere
http://i26.tinypic.com/298qch.jpg - from a fashion exhibition
if it was more awesome.
call for Mr. DisintegratedMind....
Every other DiS'ers room is 1) nicer 2) more interesting and 3) neater
This is mine. I have bits of genuine F1 car on my walls though, so I win.
I did 2 placements for the Renault F1 Team's marketing dept. in '03 and '04. Trulli binned it through Bridge corner at Silverstone after a suspension failure the day before i started the '04 placement.
After the damage/crash report/post mortem had been finished the team binned all the parts. A race team mechanic tipped me off as to where they were, and to go help myself. I duly did.
but sorry to be a bore - that's really a bad place to put your speakers
They were shit speakers actually, looking back. I dont even have the cd player they came from anymore, so they're just sat there bolted to the wall with nothing connected to it. I should take them down sometime.
Why is it a bad place to put them? Something to do with where the sound goes?
lots of nasty reflections and all sorts of crazy in the bass range being directly on the wall in a ceiling corner
forgive the geekery but it's on my mind at the mo - the reason I made a 3d model of my studio was to figure out some sonic issues with it
nice score on the F1 parts
I suspect you'd have a fit if you looked at the speakers on my windowsill then, with the treble speakers and bass bin right next to each other :p
Did I mention that those ceiling speakers were mounted upside down too? It's a comedy of errors! I shall learn from it in the future.
also, when the fuck are you moving to London?
I could be your P.A? Like a P.A'sA?
+ no. you'd only do it all wrong.
I've just realised I only have two measly shots of my flat, and both have people in them, meaning you can hardly see the room. Ha! I think I might have saved a pic of my room from the letting agents ad. Hmmmm, will search.
next week ;)
It's a bit dark at the moment.
where i spend way too much time...
after they've mysteriously woken up in it with me not present and my family discussing how the DiSer showed be cooked and eaten. Then, they have to post about what they see. It's like a horrifying new game show!
one puts up photos onto the web (apart from in profiles n stuff)
I've never done it before (Im old)
then sign up to www.flickr.com
That's me in the corner.
hurrah for old technology. i don't really music. what am i doing here?
(this is old, it's much more cluttered on the walls now...posted it before so not gonna again)
and living room
Can't you get those tv cables IN the wall though?
I might put my tv up on mine. For some reason I hadn't thought of it. If I keep it, that is.
It's an idea, would involve having to drill more holes in the wall though, and they are pretty much made of cardboard.
maybe something like this then:
Which was a suprisingly fun project.
I really need a headboard.
What's this about you keeping/not keeping your tv then?
The screens are the same size.
The signal on my freeview is absolutely pants on the tv. It seems a bit pointless really. Then I could probably put a really high cabinet there instead and actually have somewhere to put more cds and dvds.
*Shrugs* I dunno. Only bought the telly at Christmas didn't I. Rarely switch it on 'cos the signal going on and off drives me potty. Don't watch dvds on there either because my soundsticks are attached to the mac and it's much better sound (though, it does this really annoying 'skipping over damaged area' thing - even on brand new dvds).
I'm suprised that in London you'd get a naff signal- know if you've got a roof mounted aerial?
The other room down the hall I stayed in for two weeks has an absolutely fine signal; it may just be fault wiring in mine. Not had a chance to look at it yet.
If that room had a fine signal most likely it's the wiring or socket.
heres this time last year
ive given up feeling ashamed about it
and is with me at all times like my electric razor. you'd be amazed at how much time you can save combining activities and doing stuff whilst travelling or at work :)
