I effectively dared my boss to sack me today

I put a security tag in the assistant manager's shopping. He set the alarms off when he went home. He deserved it.

I was faced with a decision while driving down a country road. A guy half pulled out of a junction on a single file lane, with cars on the other side of the road. We were going 25mph. I had to make a split second decision. Stop, or go for an impossibly small gap. I went for the latter. We can't have had more than 6 inches of space on either side of the car. My mate said he braced himself for the crash that never came, and out the corner saw me doing so too. Incredible. We've been laughing about it for the last 2 days.
