I was walking to work this morning through a mostly harmless part of town sometime around 5:15am. Had my iPod in, bumbling along enjoying the sunrise, blah blah blah. Suddenly, I felt someone grab on to my arm and tug me, as though they weren't going to let go. It was a woman, late fourties, absolutely distraught and screaming at me that a man was chasing her, and harassing her, and for me to help her and not leave her. I turned around with her clinging on to me and saw the man - and I KNOW HIM. I'm so shocked and confused I didn't know what to do, but helped this lady unlock her shop and get inside (only then did she let go of me), where she locked the door again and shouted that she was calling the police.
Meanwhile, I'm outside trying to get some sense out of this guy - the only thing that wasn't nonsense was all "me and *** were just at ******* having some drinks". Bear in mind this place closes at 3am, and it was well after 5am. I could see this lasy through the window calling the police, so I told him to go home, and after about five attempts at telling him the police are coming, he headed off in the opposite direction.
