woody allen was filming on my street yesterday.
They've had burnt carpet and household remains out the front of the house for three days now and the front door is charred.
The fire brigade must've been very quiet as I didn't hear a thing.
It's going in the spreadsheet.
Blue bin - can and bottle recyc - every fourth Thursday
Get in Elmbridge!
Recyclables on Friday.
I didn't see the event, I just saw it's corpse.
so I'm 85% sure it was a pigeon.
The local knife'n'drug gang hold their gang conferences outside my house, which is nice. And occasionally cops - that all seem to look like Vic Mackey - drive up, pull some randomer off the street and drive away, like they're secret religious police.
There's a kind of sick fascination about watching it all happen.
as your bedroom window.
I moved the TV out of my room ages ago. Thanks to local residents' penchant for just standing outside my house and chatting for hours as if there's a sign on the front of my house saying "Gossip Here Pls!", I don't need it anymore.
Even better, I'm learning Polish/Pakistani/Drug Dealer Patois by osmosis.
Don't taunt me with the thought of buying weed and perogi in the same transaction, please.
and that night when it was touch-and-go, I turned on my laptop and I saw her wi-fi. it was poignant
Oh Hackney. Couldn't walk up my own street past the police tape.
when I was still at home. Good times.
Last week featured a pretty entertaining Somali/Kurd turf war on Leyton High Road apparently. One fatality.
Actually, I was quite disappointed that it wasn't a Somali/Cylon turf war. That would have been sweet.
and the mad woman next door said something to me about not worrying about cats in the TV. She scares me a little, but looks pretty weak.
In the TV?
on that program about embarrassing parents. the kid who was complaining about his dad is in my sister's class at school and lives about a minute away from me
where some haggard lady was being questioned by police whilst other haggard ladies accused her of drug-dealing, screeching like a bunch of burberry-clad harpies.
It better be.
When do you get your bins emptied?
Does this fact make me a better human being?
so you're alright in my book.
A fucking steam engine.
It was amazing.
A bit like this: http://www.waynet.org/nonprofit/images/gaar/steam-engine-640.jpg
But MUCH bigger.
many many domestics
drunken people falling, puking and having sex
funny drunk people
spides trying to kick the parking meter off the wall
drunk people trying to get into the clothes bin
aaah the joys of city centre living! :(
Bin fire across the road this week
Oven fire at the neighbours last night
Glasgow digs fire.
towing cars away and going in with cameras and all types of shit. The current tenants are some seriously dubious-looking scrotes, in all fairness.
and a flat that i had noticed as being sort of curious, raided and a c******s factory found.
Bizarrely on sunday Mrs Knees told me about a house (50yds from ours) that had been curiously empty and weird and had been raided and was also a c******s factory (This house i had actually gone into the drive and looked around into the back garden, tried to look through windows and stuff cos the burglar alarm had been going off so much.
So the next time i get curious about a place i should check it out more i guess, stuff comes in threes after all
argument with the postman this morning
is still living on it.
END OF THREAD.
he's one of my favourites ever. Do you know him?
He crashed into my mum's car once.
He was trying to sell the house a while back. So potentially somebody could buy themselves some a part of tv gold.
Police raided it, it was being rented by some people who were using it as a canabis factory.
Post Office robbed
it's a few streets away from me though.
at me from their car.
i live in a really small village. i laughed it off but was crying inside.
tied the other end to a lamp post and then drove off :(
Glad I wasn't around to see it. Pretty grim.
was it near my (work) end of the street?
this thread gets more & more depressing - shootings, fire, death. sorry everyone.
not in my own street but in the past 3 days my gran's next door neighbour hung himself in his garage, and was found by his wife and kids. not fun. Also, last night my mate was late getting to the pub because there was an armed police raid on the house next to his, and they wouldn't let anyone leave their street for hours. He got some pretty funny pics of armed police pointing guns at his house out of it though.
It just seems such an awful way to go. Especially if you get it wrong and just strangle yourself slowly. :-/
crashed his car reversing off his drive this morning into his other car. With a 3rd car and his van watching on. Hahaha.
that is about it. It's quiet where I live!
