CLASH OF THE RECENT ALMOST GREATS!
I think it'll probably be a draw and £10 slighty wasted
dunno why I should believe Nukey are capable of anything right now but the fall has to stop somewhere, doesn't it? Any word from Alan yet?
he's our new captain
good grief. Good. Grief.
Butt is out injured with a poorly thumb but surely someone like ex-Bolton armband wearer Nolan would be more suitable.
Is Shearer still in charge?
until the club is sold or the season starts and we get another Kinnear-like panic signing brought in
if Kinnear had been in charge up until the end, you would've escaped.
Where you sitting? I'm in one side of the Millburn, near where it approaches the Gallowgate, I think. I reckon we'll be joined by about 10,000 others if we're lucky. God knows what sort of result we'll come out with, it depends whether the players bother turning up this time. I'm already dreading the start of this season proper. It could be a grim one :-(
I haven't been expecting a sell out
I saw some kid wearing that new strip and it doesn't look that bad in real life. Just think how boring your away strip could be if you stay in the Championship for a few years and have to be sponsored by Lonsdale or Bukta
it's generated compared to previous away kits. I've seen very few knocking around Newcastle in the last week, even amid a 33,000 strong crowd at the Bobby Robson game on Sunday. I bet we wear it again tomorrow in an attempt to shift some more units.
they're supposed to wear clothes like that
it didn't look *too* bad with the black shorts either
but everyone is on holiday, so no one is driving over.
leeds played really well against blackburn on saturday. totally rolled them over in the first half when we had our proper team out. 2nd half we put out the reserves, then got caught asleep in the dying minutes and conceeded a stupid penalty. they had 1, maybe 2 shots on target the entire game. really promising stuff for the season though.
by two or three. i've yet to see a pre-season match but from all reports we've been impresive.
really looking forward to this season, almost certain we'll get promoted. more confident than ever - last season was the only time i've genuinely thought we were good enough.
we need to be in the top 2, i don't think Leeds have enough nerves or luck to cope with this play-off bullshit.
i swear even being televised makes us play awful, let alone going to wembley.
we've got the best manager in the league, and i think we play the best football - at least at home.
i should be going to loads of matches too. i made about a dozen altogether last season (home and away and in all campaigns) - and i'm hoping to double that this year. Shame that they've sorted out the loophole where i can get in for about a tenner with U16 tickets.
We (Southend) have been in it a while now.
You have a good year but miss the promotion, a Championship side nick all your talent. You have a bad year, you end up relegated or down the bottom.
There are some big sides now in it, and I think Norwich will fare ok, but otherwise I find it impossible to call who will win game by game, let alone over a whole season.
Granted, it was pretty much the reserves/youth plus Beckford. But still.
