and Japan will host it in 2019.
Seems fair enough really. England will also host the Rugby League World Cup in 2013.
The rugby league world cup is a farce of a competition though. And I love rugby league. And cups. And the world.
Right up until the final minute before NZ won it - then, all of a sudden, the legitimacy of it as a sporting event washed over me and I realized it was actually more important than the Olympics. But just for the next 4 years.
That things are a lot better if you actually let the fans in.
Of course knowing the RFU they're probably already hawking out 90% of the tickets to Goldman Sachs
To be like that year they started the Tour De France in Kent (stupid, stupid idea - NOTE THE NAME YOU MORONS). You have to drive for 24 hours from Hull down to Dover, around the docks for a bit, over to Calais, stock up on as much booze as possible and then hotfoot it back to Yorkshire via an organised football brawl in Millwall.
You do realise the Tour de France does go into other countries almost every year right?
Oops. Then why not call it 'Tour De Europe'? Or 'Tour De France and a pointless bit of Luxembourg'?
Next year it starts in Holland.
It's not a proper sport. It's just a way of getting about for us slackers too lazy to drive...
Your opinions will be taken on board.
Will New Zealand find a way to bottle it in each of the next three tournaments?
I'm certainly no expert though on the popularity of rugby in Japan but I wouldn't have thought it was that popular.
England. Thats 2 !!
"Japan has the fourth largest population of rugby union players in the world and the sport has been played there for over a century"
But they bottled it and gave it to New Zealand
But then the IRB are notoriously daft.
Can't see it personally.
it the biggest disgrace ever committed in the sport's history to award the 2011 world cup to New Zealand instead of a developing rugby country, to be up in arms about the same thing happening again.
