i think i've got the ultimate metaphor for these here messageboards...

they're like shitting on your own toilet.

...a tiny yet nagging itch pervades when the routine is taken away....you soon get used to the other options pretty quickly....you might not even think too much about your own crapper at all...but really, something feels odd, absent....and when you return you're full of something close to joy to be stewing in your own homely stench safe in the knowledge that the stink won't be sniffed at....

but there are better toilets if you can pull yourself away...oh yes....
