For example, I was just walking up the stairs. I looked down at my feet, and wondered for a split second 'how they knew to move one after another'. I then lost the ability to walk, fell head first and hurt my hand a little bit on the stairs trying not to lose my front teeth*.
I felt a bit silly. When I walked back into the room, everyone had heard a crash and me doing it too. Upon telling my tale, it turned out this isn't uncommon.
A guy I work with when faced with the end of an escalator apparently forgot how to get off of it and more or less stacked it. Another bloke dropped his pint while holding it. Upon buying another one, he remembered thinking 'Right, don't drop this one' and did exactly the same. The person he was with was less than pleased too after just returning from the loo's hand drier.
I guess most of us have also had those moments where too much 'thinking' during the dirty deed can make it all go wrong.
So is this something you can relate to? Or have done?
* Though anybody who has seen them will realise this would not be the disaster it would be to most American celebrities.
