And I thought Goths were pretty nutty. Check out that desktop computer!
it seems so
I'm one of those KERAZY people that read reviews and assume they're probably pretty accurate.
Also, never trust another person's views on something else. I went 26 years on this earth before I tried black pudding because loads of people said it was minging. Lying bastards.
Do you think it's time for a Sadpunk genre?
1) BTTF III actually got better reviews than BTTF II. That said I was 15 when it came out and I wasn't going to miss the ending after BTTF II's cliffhanger. Certainly it got much better reviews than WWW did.
2) Black pudding is made of dried blood. It sounds minging. You shouldn't have needed any encouragement to avoid it.
Fact is that there are only so many hours in the day and so much money you want to give to shit film companies to watch the rubbish they produce. When every single review tells you this is probably one of the worst films ever made you don't go to see it.
Then encased in pig intestines (I think), then cooked.
It's seriously nice. Really quite sweet as well not at all what you'd expect. No wonder vampires exist.
I meant BTF III has elements of Steampunk in it. I don't give a sheet about reviews. Not sure what you're on about.
I thought you were implying the reviews for that had been shite but then I went to see it anyway.
Yeah, I guess it did have elements of that. I'd have probably just gone with anachronism rather than coin an entire new genre.
I'm just reading Titus Alone. I don't like it but must finish the trilogy.
it's really not worth reading though, it's unfinished and complete mess.
PEDANTS CORNER: It's not really a trilogy anyway. It's a series. There was supposed to be a whole load more books tracing Titus Groan right the way through his life but then Peake went and died without properly finishing the third book.
I've avoided the books all my life due to conflict with my father who is a member of the Peake society. He owns the largest collection of Peake art in the world. NO SHIT!
Finally thought I should read them. Will watch the TV series next week.
but much more lighthearted
I love Peake. I just won a public speaking competition by talking about the Gormenghast books.
I love his engravings for Ryme of the Ancient Mariner. Amazing stuff. Can I be your friend and come and see your Dad's art?
After living in a house littered with editions of Gormenghast, I had to go and buy my own…
If there is a reconciliation I’ll send you a PM.
I do have a split cane fishing rod that belonged to Merv's best mate...
If it was like in Last Exile I'd totally enlist in a second. I'd really, really love to live in Last Exile. Ideally with less dying, but y'know...
better than crabcore or whatever that screamo meets vocoder shit is called.
OMG steampunk is online!!!!
the other week in Steampunk costume. I had no idea what this meant. Some of the outfits were totally amazing.
steamboy then? As this is a pretty good example of this.
Greatest example of the genre. Pretty funny though. Lots of geeky historical jokes and pisstakes out of cyberpunk. ESP the bit when some aristocrTs start threating about Japanese dominance
