The British Pakistan XIII
Just announced is the inception of the British Pakistan XIII, an international rugby league team comprised of people of Pakistani origin, born in England and Wales. Its a team based in West Yorkshire and as far as I know its the first idea of its kind.
Its early doors as to whether the team will take off, and if it will be well received and supported by the public. Race relations in Bradford are often taut, and rugby league is traditionally a flat capped white working class affair. Here's hoping it goes well!
An interesting step toward multiculturalism nonetheless. What do you think?
