There seems to be a bit of an obsession with pointy/long-toed shoes these days.
I've never liked them on women but now men are getting in on the act too. Walking to get my lunch is starting to make me feel like the only man in a suit with shoes that actually fit his feet.
Really, these sorts of shoes just look so ugly and anachronistic. Am I alone in my dislike?
hi theo.
pointy shoes have been around for thousands of years.
cheers.
Yeah, you sort of missed my point. AND clearly don't get what the term 'anchronistic' means.
trousers are so anchronistic huh?
and whats with wearing belts in the 21st century?!
Trousers continually evolve to be better looking and more comfortable.
Certainly in suits.
Shoes shouldn't devolve.
yeah,
slim fit trousers are such a new concept arent they?
Ugh to slim fit.
Jesus, this is 2009 not 1969!
my point is.
all clothes ever have already existed
no, they're really ugly.
Tim Westwood put something on his twitter about it - so you're not alone, got the big dawg watching your six
I have 2 pairs of boots which are sorta pointed. I think they're nice.
What next?
A foot binding fad?
I blame the jesters
possibly not now...
but maybe in about three months time, round-toe shoes will be the equivalent of wearing pantaloons or whatever the last paradigm of trousers were.
* paradigm of leg-covering clothes
i have tiny feet
plus they look better than club toed clarks style school shoes.
it's a strong look
