mayonnaise - i would resort to this but i wouldn't say ideal
tomato relish - hmmm, maybe
onion relish - if its all there was
mustard/mayo combo - solves all problems
I reckon I might try it along with the tomato relish that you suggested.
zapsta's idea sounds good to me. maybe with some finely diced cucumber mixed in
I was just thinking about how awful mint sauce on its own would be in a burger.

Was gonna say mint jelly, but mint raita/yoghurt&mint sound equally good...
