don't do anything I wouldn't do
peace the fuck out x
I'm duty bound to remind you though: YOU'RE ALREADY IN EUROPE.
I'm not picking on you, I just find it strange that in this country loads of people talk of 'going to Europe': I believe you encounter the same phenomenon in places East of the former Iron Curtain. I guess it's when you know you're on the continents' margins...
i've come to the point where i've given up on pointing this out to british people after hearing them deny that they're european so many times
I don't feel like I'm a UK citizen at all - definitely class myself as european, for better or for worse. I get so sick of this pissy little island mentality.
but then again i get referred to as being european (as opposed to british) and i don't think of myself as european before norwegian. you know? i just find the whole thing very strange. you're even in the EU ffs, and there are still people denying that britain is part of europe. It's so stupid.
Sometimes if I'm staying at my dad's house in Norwich, I'll say "I'm just gonna go into Norwich"- as in I'm heading towards the centre/shops. Are you supposed to say "I'm just going to explore the rest of this continent which we are a part of"?
but there's no reason to actively deny the fact that britain is part of europe, which was what i'm talking about. although if you want to get pedantic i guess it would be better to say 'the continent' but that sounds gay.
Genuine British newspaper headline.
I'm in Sunny Pisa! boy freaking howdy. gonna go talk to a pizza, brb
