Google plans a PC operating system
OMG
That said, it's "tied to its Chrome web browser"--and Chrome is possibly the worst thing Google have ever done.

Sounds to me
like it'll just be another linux distro - the difference being that Google has a big name so may be able to make big inroads into the market and reinforce their share through Google Docs, etc. Although it appears to be a much more web-based thing than your normal OS - which makes me think it's their attempt to catch the netbook market. Sounds interesting, anyway.
Yeah, it's being fashioned for netbooks first, with intent to later expand for regular PCs.
am I the only person who didn't think chrome was that bad?
if you ignore the personal privacy implications obvs it's a fairly robust if slightly memory hungry browser.
