Does this festival have the most consistently awful line-up of any festival?
The presence of the Levellers confirms it.
NB: Who the fuck are Blimus?
even my train fare would be covered.
but it's about 0.2% of the line-up.
it lasted one year. The headliners were the Ozrics and some bloke out of Chumbawamba doing solo acoustic stuff.
Alabama 3, Chas & Dave, Daniel Bedingfield, Lulu, Marillion, The Others, Paul Weller, Status Quo, Dreadzone, Nizlopi
Just need Aswad and ex-Squeeze members' side-projects and it would have topped it off
this is this years line-up:
maybe you already knew that.
I'd like to see ginger out of this.
Awful. Poor Kylesa. An actually good band.
And Devil Sold His Soul, Ghost Of A Thousand and maybe Nouvelle Vague but only if they play their cover of 'Too Drunk To Fuck'
I suppose it's one way to start your tour...
pretty sure it's also pay-to-play for the smaller bands as well.
had Sikth, The Stranglers, Winnebago Deal and Gary Numan though, admitedly that still doesn't really justify the paying for a three day festival.
Damn, I wish I was her lover
kristin hersh played there in 1998 though, I may try and sneak in for brian wilson
Kerching! Seriously though, the line up is pretty awful, but Brian Wilson and Devil Sold His Soul in the same weekend? Only at Guilfest.
Did he get misplaced from a local pub bill?
Pendulum DJ set but featuring their MC
The Wailers (Marley-era members: one, although admittedly pretty much all the others are dead)
Dave the Hair
Bromwich and Wilmsy (that's a building society, surely?)
A comedian called Andrew Bird (unless...)
The Love Band
What Is Life For?
Time For Action
8th Time Luckie
Some Of Us Never Die
Cat Mouse Cat
Mary Jane Burning (spliff lol)
Flexibility (as a band name!)
According to Her
My Hollow Tree
I Am Forever
The United Stoats Of America (fucking hell!)
the European Union of America.
that's actually worse though.
Guilfest goes Crabcore.
Also, The Surrey Advertiser Stage (!) Imagine being booked to play on that, you'd know things weren't really going to plan.
Still. Your Demise are still there to fill up the comedy hardcore quota.
