Just interested? Bad weather will make the game harder for sure but does it make some games impossible?
and can also see the use of an orange ball.
waterlogged pitches, heavy fog, too much snow on the pitch etc
But it certainly continues in bad weather. It seems sometimes that the slightest amount of rain will kill other games dead.
That ball must really spray!
if it's a really light rain...
is one factor. Also you can play on sodden footy pitches. Not so Tennis or Cricket.
Or does it just go off at extreme angles?
If you look at pre covered pitches in cricket, the bounce was erratic and quite unpredictable. As those who play cricket at a low level will testify.
just go all mushy.
Because those who play Cricket and Tennis are pansies. Real sport is played in the sleet, as my old games teacher put it.
this works on two levels.
(it's so you can cross your legs, btw)
why are footballers so massively wet? It's just embarrassing when you see grown men fall over on the slightest contact and play-act and all that. Seems to be more of a continental thing. Don't hard-men football supporters get annoyed by all that pansying?
Imagine if Tennis and Cricket were played in fully studded boots.
(I was the ref, not just a bossy observer) I thought the kids were going to drown, the rain was that heavy...
