The game of 'hats'
Anyone know this game, probably by other names:
Split into two teams and everyone puts ten names of famous people or famous characters into a hat.
Each team takes it in turns to spend a minute taking names from the hat and trying to get their team to guess them without saying the name, obviously. Any correct names are kept and you can't pass on one you can't get. (A different person should be picked in each team each time it's their turn.)
The round ends when all the names in the hat have been guessed and then the teams total up how many names they've got before the names are put back in the hat and the next round starts.
There are only four rounds:
Round 1: You can use as many words as you like to describe the person, short of actual 'sounds likes', i.e. for David Banda, "sounds like 'aphid panda'" is really taking the piss.
Round 2: You can only use three words to describe the person to your team so they can guess the name. Hopefully the previous round should make this fairly easy.
Round 3: You only have one word to describe the person for your team to guess, but they've heard all the people twice now so it shouldn't be too hard.
Round 4: You can't use any words so it's now a case of charades.
The other team can't guess while one team is guessing, obviously.
