I'm not trying to start an argument or anything, just canvassing opinion.
Wasn't a big fan of ExistenZ or whatever it was called though. Don't even remember what happened in it any more.
how baffling i find it sometimes does though.
I could hope only to be executed to the sound of strangers cries of hate.
mainly cause i just finished that book on the tube this morning
What else could?
Have you ever tried it? It's shit.
Technically, it's 'meh'.
All I know is that every time I've felt sad, I was existing at the time.
Then it's just as well that every time I've done or felt anything, I was existing at the time. Can'o'Worms averted.
Really I was just hoping we'd all start talking about ExistenZ.
I cared. :(
I just am.
but after watching Bicentennial Man, A.I. and the Time Machine last night, all of which deal with the idea that the world will move on for milennia, and even just a decade or so after I die, I'll be entirely forgotten and nothing I'll have done, no matter how much it impacts peoples lives (or not, as the case is), none of it will have mattered a jot.
I don't really want to think of the endless void of time-space and my tiny role in it, and how meaningless it all is.
But then again, all those films are nonsensical shit, so it doesn't bother me too much.
as does the constant, nagging sense of dread, sorrow & emptiness that I may never own a decent Porsche before I die
