At what point does someone become a girlfriend? I met this girl initially when I already had a girlfriend, so obviously nothing happened then, but she seemed really cool. I put on the odd benefi gig and she's always come along and shown her support. I recently bumped into her on a night out and had a really long conversation with her, and ended up hanging out with her and her mate. She unexpectedly kissed me as I was leaving. Friday night I had another benefit gig, which she came to, and which was pretty much more of the same between us. She came over yesterday and hung out, spent most of the afternoon/evening draped over me somehow. I also think she's spending the night here tonight.

I think it's a bit lame to do the whole 'will you be my girlfriend?' thing, it makes me feel about 12 years old, but I do really like this girl, the feeling is more than obviously mutual, and to be fair I haven't met someone with the same interests who I've properly clicked with for fucking ages. So what's the process of becoming an 'official' couple?
