internets help

prof-kitsch [Edit] [Delete] 22:50, 2 July '09

so i'm renting a place with some cool dudes. I want to go on the internet in my new pad. I open my laptop to browse my favourite websites and THERES NO INTERNET.

there's a phone line in the house, but its obviously deactivated. To re-activate it, would we have to pay line rental to bt on top of the isp charges? I don't really understand how it works. Like, if o2 are offering a £7.50 a month deal, would that actually be about £19.00 with the line rental?

Also, do I have to re-activate to find out my phone number for this house? I kind of want to ask these questions now so I don't sound like a complete twat on the phone, theyre probably really obvious and silly, sorry.
