i must have weird, sweaty feet, because so far this summer i've been getting loads of blisters from shoes which have been awesome the rest of the time. on tuesday for example i broke out my flip flops (worn last summer, never hurt before), and i could barely walk home from work. i've had blisters from some vans slip ons too, which were fine before and are fine now.

any tips on how to avoid them? do proper blister plasters really work? or am i just weird?
