Think I fit into the drone category. My job has little to do with my degree and I earn well well below 30 grand.
but you wouldn't know it from the amount of time I spend on here.
I'm a furniture removal guy, also making less than 30 grand, but I do get a certain level of free thinking opportunity in my job. So I'm only a half drone. I'm a cyborg or someshit.
Stop making me think about my life, jackass.
I have caption impotence. I know there's a zinger lurking under the surface, waiting to burst out into glory, but it just won't come.
i don't really mind. i'm under 23 and i earn over 20 grand in a time of economic crisis. PEOPLE ARE JOLLY GRATEFUL FOR THE WORK
but its up north and im under paid
so get the shit even the drones won't do. I dream of dronedom (christ that's a bit of a tongue twister).
Helps you get better jobs in the end, well did for me
but currently able to act more freely
I don't think that how much you earn bears any relation to whether you're a drone or not.
And a lot of professional jobs are pure drudgery, so being a drone could be somewhat liberating, I suppose.
earning a lot. <:D
What flavour of engineer are you sheeldzy? Still kicking it in the 'deen?
I don't act too professionally though. For example, having just checked my diary it transpires I was supposed to be at work at 8.30 this morning. I'm actually sat in my kitchen contemplating making a bacon sandwich. Oops.
Nothing we do has any significance. Nothing we do furthers the human race in any way whatsoever. That system you're slaving away on? It will be obsolete in 5 years or less. What's the point????
WHAT'S THE POINT???
<takes cloths off, swims into the sea>
They should TOTALLY remake that!
its just that people are just so reactionary and are enticed by the gaudy baubles of 'the system' they are, for the most part, not even prepared to entertain the possibility of hope that we could be better
cos i know whats best for us :)
Work far too hard in a mind-numbing job for not a whole lot above minimum wage, absolutely no job satisfaction and no skill required, pretty much no opportunity for promotion.
Were it not all ground level, I'd jump out a window.
It'll be fun :)
Im sure that you dont have to be crazy to work where you do, but from the sound of things it will probably help if you are.
Not for long
watch this space ----> <------
get left entirely to my own devices....
I just fix things and pick tunes and stuff. Generally pretty funny. 7 days left!
and I earn well below 13 grand. I haven't been on time since my first day, with the average being about 35-40 mins late (25 mins is remarked upon as my being "early", and 1hr+ is "just one of those mornings"). At least once a week I wear a t-shirt, and occasionally I wear jeans. I read everything published on the bbc website, however mindnumbingly irrelevant to my life, and have long ago given up on MS Games as repetitive. I can make a pile of filing last for weeks.
Still, I manage to achieve pretty much everything I'm meant to - it's just there's not enough work to fill the time, unless you're really really keen. Which I'm not. Does this make me a drone, or is there a third category?
