She ended up liking it so much she completed a degree around it, got a PGCE and became a proper teacher. I also know people my age who've enjoyed it. If you're not sure, you should probably just ask a school if you can help out as work experience for a week or two, they're unlikely to say no.
it'd be at the school / sixth form i'm about to finish, and apparently they favour former students, so if i apply i'd be faaaiiiirly certain to get the job. think it'd be working with kids 11 - 14/15
pros:
-pretty much my school routine but with no exams or essays or pressure. on the other hand i would HAVE to attend all the time.
-not far away
-have a few friends i know who will be working
-i think the pay is preeeetty good. 8 grand over the year.
-HOLIDAYS, half terms and stuff. could do all the travelling i wanna do then
cons:
- the thought of LEAVING 4LYF tomorrow after my final exam, only to have another year at the same place
- KIDS
- KIDS
- i dont know the compulsory academic school has improved or whatever since i was there, but it was fairly rough, probably still is.
thats part time, right???
If you just want some passable gap year employment to get money, it'll be better than being on a till in a supermarket or whatever.
9 months outta the year & would still be living at home without rent, bills, etc... i thought it is. i'm probably being really really stupid and naive or something though. i dunno
My mum did this when my brother and I were young

You might have to pay for your own CRB check though.
is it in a specific school?
it is meant to be quite a nice job depending on the school.
A friend of mine is an English teaching assistant
and he thoroughly enjoys it. Of course it depends on the school.
My girlfriend's sister does this, loves it but gets paid less than a pitance.
...
If you enjoy being asked retarded questions about your personal life, then yeah, go nuts.

that's the main reason why I give blood

9 months outta the year & would still be living at home without rent, bills, etc... i thought it is. i'm probably being really really stupid and naive or something though. i dunno
