anyone done it? Help please.
but let me know if you hear anything helpful.
i usually just go the route of buying used pedals for cheap from various friends.
there are pages/communities on the internet wher you can get schematics, and you can by kits from places like build your own clone.
I was gonna try and build a germanium fuzz from instructions in a guitar mag, but I worked out the costs and it was pretty high, didnt seem worth it in the end
like diy stombox are based in the US and give you radioshack part numbers when isntructing you o nteh kit to get.
making your own is not cheaper than buying pedal.
would start getting a breadboard kit from maplin before you start messing aroung with making boards.
A breadboard kit with two mono sockets and the typical ICs and resisters you find in starter kits is enough to get you on your way to makea simple overdrive and maybe delay.
once you like it you can get on and make a ciruit board and housing.
I haven't moved onto the circuit board stage yet...i just stick my breaboard into a shoebox and it;s fried by the end of the gig
Delays, reverbs and mods is complex. You can either buy ready to make kits, or find some circuit diagrams on the internet and get building.
