SO HAPPY. OMG. LIKE YEAH! WOO!
Big up the Macq!
who is your band?
i was one of 'Steve's Stringers' tipping a new band called Lost Knives.
Apparently the forum staged a mini takeover of Radio 1. Tomorrow Galaxy!
I'll be iplayering that stuff up shortly. Was it just a random pick or did he notify you in advance that he'd be playing some of your music on his show?
But I wrote him a letter and posted him a copy of our album a few weeks ago. Big up yourself!
Right before Lauryn Hill too! My life is pretty much complete.
used to listen to steve lamacq every monday to hear new bands. Haven't done that since I discovered the t'internet. But it's cool to think you may now have some new fans checking ye's out
Need to get back into Radio yo...
Feel free to have a listen on http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/innewmusicwetrust/stevelamacq/
We're on at about 7.00 - He bangs on for a while, it's great :D
I always loved that guys recommendations, think he stopped doing it though :(
Oh and listened to your track there, wouldn't be my cup of tea, but sounds good nonetheless, if it's getting national radio play you're doing something right! Just don't let it go to your head :b
It's just nice getting a bit of recognition right now, we've been working really hard getting the album out the last few weeks. Makes it feel worth it!
i'll iplayer it the morrow dizo, can i buy i copy of it?
Except 'New Vibrations Radio' on iTunes. Chit chat about consciousness, 24/7.
Of course you can mate! There's an order link thing on www.myspace.com/alttrack
Nice one bro
Love you bro. Nice one, I'll have it in the post for you in the morning. Enjoy!
I'll have a listen once I get to bed.
this really isn't the kind of stuff I normally listen to...but I really like it :-)
It's all very varied... Our album ranges from hip hop to electronica to punk to folk to reggae to drum & bass to dub...
anything :) thanks for listening though! *hugs*
this Saturday in Bradford?
I hope so, as I just spent £7 something getting a ticket.
We are massive rock stars...
Joking. Of course we will bud! Come and say hello! It'll be an ace day, I can't wait.
congratulations, I'm dead pleased for you - I really like the album!
Will be an ace day. Got a plan for bands? Mine looks a little like:
The Luminaires/Freyed Knot
Just Handshakes (We're British)
A bit of Foxes Faux before we play
But I'll definitely see:
Maybe you guys, what time are you on?
I need to listen to some more of the lineup this week, so I don't miss anything super awesome when I schedule curry time. Any reccomendations?
Not just a pretty face then?! :)
Need to get my fecking speakers sorted out on my pc.
You really do... Or get some nice cheeky headphones.
I'm oh so hungry.
I am also hungry, maybe some toast and a cup of coffee.
I've got no bread, a dodgy toaster in here, and for some reason tea always tastes horrid at work.
Switched on - check.
Mute button off - check.
And sound coming out - no!
I think you need to get down the shops dizzle.
Do you hear a little noise? Anything actually coming out of the speakers?
Need to diagnose and pin down whether or not it's a problem with the speakers, or your laptop.
It's all about Logic, Lo-pan.
You are now the third person I know/know of who has been played on Steve Lamacq. Were you nervous when he played your song?
I was more in slight disbelief... Having someone like Steve talk over your tracks plugging away about you is so strange when you're used to hearing it done over some of your favourite bands :D
It's all great - got a few orders and lots of interest from it, so I'm happy.
Good work buddy.
p.s. My name is not actually Rick Springfield. This is Rick Springfield...
Well, I'm not called Mr Dizzle.
This isn't Mr Dizzle, it's an orange hat.
I like that Dizzle, full of energy and purpose and its good fun :) Strictly speaking that isn't the kind of stuff I tend to listen to but I enjoyed that.
But our tunes really are up and down, that's by far the most brutal that we get, alot of our tunes I like to think are pretty uplifting.
If you want to hear an example of such tune, please listen to pop song 'View From A Mountain' on our Last.fm Artist Profile Page, which you'll find via this hyperlink;
