Spotify is really only good for playing 'comedy' records?

prole-art-threat [Edit] [Delete] 16:21, 15 June '09

Twice in the last month I've been to parties where Spotify has been avaliable and twice I've spent my 'slot' or djing or whatever by playing silly songs or oddities that people may or may not know. For some reason for every obsuro Jacques brel song I felt smugly inclined to play 'Rabbit' by Chas N Dave and this was only becasue Snooker Loopy 'couldn't be found' - its not really there for radio friendliness or making a party atmos is it?

Also, I couldn't find Telstar for crying out loud. Again. Though I did find an early demo of 'Our Mutual Friend' by the Divine Comedy. Crazy times/town
