Has anyone done it? I wanna try.
or Europe as in the continent?
And both turn up unannounced?
The French will feel right at home, and the Germans will clean it up after a short while.
Cheers, The Stereotype Stork.
Nah, neither work... but almost.
you cant say horrid things about france
That's all I'm basing it on. That and when I went to Germany, it was the most exceptionally clean place I've ever seen. Apart from the tracks at the tram station. Everywhere else was SPOTLESS. And POOLESS.
they send you to Dachau.
the send you to Sachsenhausen.
So you can tell people that you have been to every country?
16)Vatican City/Holy See
and has more registered companies than population
i did, and it was great fun. but you wont get to every country but you would make a decent fist of it.
but i wont bore you with the list.
I did it nine summers ago.
Can't recall my exact route, but it was something like:
It took a month and was awesome.
we didnt get to copenhagen, it would have taken too long to get there and back and time is of the essence.
amsterdam-hamburg-berlin-prague-budapest-ljubljana-split-hvar (croatian island)-dubrovnik-zagreb-venice-florence-rome-nice-perpignan-barcelona
was great fun.
i suggest ljubljana, it is excellent.
iv been to bulgaria 3 times and it was amazing
id like to visit Albania,Macedonia,Serbia,Romania,Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina
i plan to do it next year.
that's what inspired the thread. I think I could really get going on this with a little effort, and going to like Belarus or Moldova would be so fascinating!
its the poorest country in Europe but sounds really characterful.
Although it would involve me going to Wales.
we're basing it on a political map. it's part of the UK
also, are you counting Kazakhstan and Israel as parts of europe? they're not geographically in europe BUT they compete in the european world cup qualifiers and we all know that's pretty damn important
well personally i'm sorry but if you don't go to them in my eyes you've not been to every country in europe and that's just how it is
because they are in the green Historically European lettering. Also Georgia, Azerbaijan count. Israel is neither geographically nor historically European (according to Wikipedia), so doesn't count.
but it is fairly exotic so its well worth mentioning it, like if you've been to the faroe islands or spitzbergen
On a side note, Denmark have just handed back* Greenland to the Greenlandians, they are no longer under Danish rule.
*or are about to hand back. Not sure when it happened**
**or is happening
and I'd like to at least have a taste of many conflicting but complementary locations and cultures because i'm a massive tourist who is really into that kinda thing.
just counted and I think I've visited 16 so far. Are you including the South Caucasus countries?
